Friend Family Health Center is hiring for the following positions:



 Finance Manager

Incumbent will have hands on experience as a Finance Manager with 3 - 4 years of experience in physician practice accounting and or/healthcare industry exp.  Experience in physician billing, healthcare revenue, statistical measures and benchmarking for multi-location site operation. Perform month-end close procedure, prepare journal entries and produce monthly financial statements. Review and sign off on all Accounts Payable and Cash Receipts entries ensuring entries have been charged to the appropriate accounts and have the required documentation and approvals. Will assist in the preparation of Projections and Annual Budgets. Will assist in all work necessary in preparation for the annual audit.

Coordinates physician accounting practices and procedures to ensure compliance with the latest Accounting and regulatory requirements. Monthly reviews of gross and net revenue and insuring proper contractual deductions. Prepares financial reports and analysis necessary to identify trends and provides key information to management.  Reconciles data from internal and external interfaces. Monitors the activities of the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Payroll. Develops, plans, and drives departmental and organizational goals and objectives. Maintains, monitors, and reviews account reconciliation for assigned balance sheet accounts. Oversees the preparation and filing of various tax, franchise and information returns. Oversees the completion of regulatory reporting required by federal and state governments. Assists with audits. Keeps management abreast of unusual accounting issues. Assists with special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned by management.

 Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in physician practice accounting
  • Knowledge of physician practice revenue, contract negotiations and co-payments
  • US GAAP knowledge
  • BS in Accounting, MBA+, CPA+



 Family Medicine Physician

Physician responsibilities include diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and other disorders in an outpatient setting.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy
  • Current license to practice medicine in the United States
  • Board certified
  • License to practice medicine in the State of Illinois
  • 5 years clinical experience
  • 2 years administrative experience in a clinical setting
  • Experience in community based health care setting and excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Registered Nurse

Responsibilities include providing nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting. Accepts charge nurse responsibilities, directing patient flow, coordinating admissions to unit, and assigning staff appropriately. Oversees the Medical Assistant personnel, and delegate assignments.  Has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical and psychological needs of the pediatric, internal medicine, OB/GYN and adolescent patient.

Requirements:

  • BS or Associates Degree in Nursing
  • Requires satisfactory completion of an accredited registered nurse program
  • Requires effective communication skills
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years experience as a registered nurse with direct patient care
  • Requires current CPR certification
  • Bilingual (Spanish) required



Internist 

Physician responsibilities include diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and other disorders in an outpatient setting.

Medical Assistant

Under general supervision, assist the provider in the examination, treatment, and care of patients in the assigned clinical area. All applicants must be certified with a minimum 2 years of medical assistant experience. Medical Assistants must have excellent customer service skills, because they will have constant interaction with patients, providers and other members of the clinical staff.

Requirements:

  • EKG
  • Audiometers
  • Venipuncture
  • Able to perform dipstick urinalysis, pregnancy test, blood glucose test
  • Must be able to obtain and record vital signs, blood pressure, weight, height, pulse, temperature and or respiration
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred


Clinic Coordinator

Clinic coordinators perform reception and clerical duties of considerable difficulty in an outpatient clinic setting. The job involves extensive utilization of clinic systems and constant interaction with patients, physicians, and other members of the clinic staff.  Clinic coordinators need to possess both a strong customer service orientation and a commitment to excellence and accuracy while working in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.

Requirements:

  • AA degree preferred, or some college work required.
  • Completion of Medical Terminology class and/or Medical Receptionist program
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a reception/customer service setting
  • Ability to type 35 wpm
